Ariadne is tall with long legs. She is skinny, but not underfed; she has a healthy look to her. Her hair, which is straight, and stops just under her chin, is mud-brown, but turns rusty red in the sun. Her eyes are green like moss, and her eyebrows are thin, and set high on her face.

She has olive skin, with golden accents. Her face is slender, and heart-shaped. Her ears are somewhat pointed, and her lips are thin, and peach-colored. Her nose is small, and a bit up-turned. Her face almost suggests a pixie's face.

She has no freckles, or moles. She manages to side-step pimples, as well. However, her arms and legs are lined with white scars, from living rough. Her eyes are usually blood-shot, and rimmed with black and purple circles, from lack of sleep. Her teeth are quite a bit crooked, and she has a couple of cavities, as she never is able to take care of them. She rarely sunburns.

Though, Ariadne, not by choice, is a lone wolf, she prefers the company of someone else, but would never admit it. She is clever and quick, however, when confronted, she doesn't show these skills upfront. She prefers to wait until the perfect time. She is a master thief, but her greatest flaw is her arrogance. She likes to brag about her steals, and practically dangles her prizes in the faces of others, with no thought as to giving herself a bad reputation. Ariadne doesn't care what people think of her. She, more or less, thinks she is the best at everything.

She does have a more mellow side, though. She often feels compelled to help those in need. However, she knows the difference between helping someone for the heck of it, and helping someone for something in return. She most often chooses the latter in deciding whether to help or not. Even so, she has a soft side for children, and will more likely help them, even if they have nothing to give.

Ariadne is quite talkative, as long as she has someone to talk to. She, despite the fact she is a wanderer, prefers places with alot of people. However, she likes change, and grows antsy staying in one place for too long, which in her mind is, say, a week or two. She enjoys travelling and exploring.

Ariadne was born, according to Asimila, her former guardian, in some district, by the look of her. Asimila, a young woman then, found her outside of the fence of District 12, as a baby, just days old, crying up a storm. No one was in sight, and she only had on a ratty blanket, with the initials C.T. on the inside. Asimila, who was heading for District 13, decided to take her with her. Ariadne grew up in the ruins of District 13 with Asimila, learning how to take care of herself in the wilderness, and hearing stories of the Districts and the Capitol, which Asimila and Ariadne alike found junvenile and quite revolting. Asimila, herself, was from District 5, but decided to leave, due to the fact that she was completely horrified by the Hunger Games. Ariadne is convinced she must have been born in one of them, any one of them, but she isn't sure which one.

When Ariadne was 13, Asimila wanted to move on past the districts, perhaps into a different country. Ariadne, still holding to the small hope that C.T. was somewhere in a district, or maybe even the Capitol, told Asimila she wanted to stay, and convinced her guardian, whom she loved very much, to let her stay. Asimila left her with one of her javelins, a pack, a tent, food, and water, and the knowledge of how to survive.

Ariadne, now all alone, drifted around District 12 for a while, sometimes taking trips to District 11, or even 10, and stealing, and improving her skill, as she isn't the best hunter. Finally, at age 15, she returned to her former home in District 13's ruins, and vowed, ratty blanket in hand, she would found C.T., even if it meant searching every single district. She instantly headed off in her search.
