Jude is a short, slim boy from District 6. He isn't well built in the slightest, lacking any defining muscular features. Yet he appears taller than he is, only reaching 5'8, Jude's hair is what gives him a more aggressive, taller look. His hair, sandy blonde in color, is medium in length and styled backwards in spikes. His eyes are a dark hazel, often lost in thought. His face is often expressionless, denying anyone access to read his emotions.

In summer months, Jude can be found wearing his work clothes. These consist of a plain black t-shirt, ragged and second hand, old jeans that belonged to an older sibling and a navy denim jacket. He wears black boots that almost reach his knees, they have a military feel to them. In colder months, Jude is forced to wear a grey turtle-necked jumper and a black beanie-hat over the top of his usual attire. He usually is seen wearing a pair of fingerless gloves, but he seems to find them somewhat of an annoyance.

Jude's personality is hard to digest. You either get on with him, or you don't. This is probably down to his snarky comments and egotistical attitude. Jude thinks highly of himself, mainly because of he has to provide for two younger siblings and can't afford to lower his spirits too much. He sees most people as inconvenient, and unless they are of use to him, he probably gives them less attention than they deserve.

Jude isn't a cold character, sure he can be rude and inconsiderate, but he puts this down to being focused on feeding mouths. The only place he feels he can be open and caring is at home, around his siblings and parents. The way he sees it, everyone is trying to survive, the less people waste time, the better.

Jude dislikes over-cheerful residents, most authoritarian figures, and of course, the Hunger Games. He enjoys working, especially into the night. Being alone allows him to reflect, which is all he really wants. To work, to provide and to reflect.

Born the second child of four, Jude was always expected to be a hard worker. His parents, Karmilla and Sol, independently ran a Hovercraft Repair station in the midst of District Six. Their first-born, Firo, was somewhat of a prized possession. Firo was strong and athletic, very handy around the workshop even at ten years of age. Jude was born five years after Firo, with his two twin sisters, Terri and Silver, following three years after that.

Jude was always more technical than Firo, working on the physics of the hovercraft as apposed to lifting and repairing the outer-shell. Yet since a freak accident that saw a hovercraft fall onto Firo whilst he worked on it, Jude has been forced to become the main worker of the family.

Firo saw the accident paralyze him from the waist-down, meaning that Jude from hereon had to take over Firo's job. This forced Jude's father out of retirement and back into working, even with his damaged and frail spine. Despite this, Jude has vowed to not allow his younger siblings to sign up for Tessarae.
