Damien has sea green eyes and moderately brown hair. His skin is tan (always has been) and every once and a while you’ll catch him with a hint of red to his tone. He is 5’5 and weighs 145 pounds. Above his right eye he has a scar from when he was just beginning to learn to fish in his district. The hook caught him in the eye. He likes to wear t-shirts and jeans. Nothing to “fashion-y”; just simple. His nose is a little crocked from when he was running around as a toddler and fell and broke his nose. Only time and salt water could heal it.

His arm has a scar from when he was learning to spear fish with a trident (which was his father and grandfathers fishing tool). His arm got caught on his trident and left a scar that ran from his fore arm to his hand. He is also slightly muscular. He smells of sea water all the time, as does most of the people in his district. He got most of his looks from his dad (including the calluses on his hands) and his hair from his mother. He has a little scar on his lip from some accident when he was an infant which made his front teeth crooked permanently. Other then that he’s kinda handsome.

Damien is shy, but outgoing. To most people it would seem like he has a multi personality disorder, but he is actually traumatized from when he almost drowned when he was four years old. He likes to flirt with the women have district four, and always has a story to tell for his scars, whether or not it was a fishing accident or rescuing an elderly woman from a mugging in some ally. He could always stretch the truth to any point. The people of District 4 called it dirty, his father called it a good imagination.

He absolutely despises people with authority, especially people in the capitol (mainly president snow) and peace keepers. He like to train because his father believes that one day Damien will one day have his name drawn from the reaping and be thrown into the arena to prove that District four is the best district of all. He encourages Damien to buy tessera, for that will raise his chances of getting into the games. Damien nods his head and agrees with his father only because it makes his father happy.

Damien is also very seductive. He can make one agree with him without even having to put up a good speech, all because of his eyes. This is not a power or anything but his voice, smooth as silk, and his eyes as beautiful as the sea make it hard for anyone to say no to him. He is the one who usually betrays people, but once in a while he gets the knife in the back. But when he trains he shows no remorse, and pretends that whoever he may face are the ones who betray him. He chooses to lead this life style for it is the way his father taught him to be.

Damien was born on the year of the 45th Hunger Games. His early child hood wasn’t spectacular. It wasn’t even close. Shortly after he was born his mother died. The “doctors” couldn’t quite pin point what went wrong but they thing it had to do with her uterus. When he was two years old lots happened. His father was almost killed during a huge tropical storm when he was out running “errands”. His father never actually told him what he was doing that night. Damien then caught a bad case of hypothermia and went into a coma, lasting three weeks. Whatever happened in Damien’s body brought him back to life, but left him slow for a year. That same year he wondered into the ocean and nearly drowned. The peacekeepers luckily caught him before he died, but fined his father. They then fell into debt.

That was when his father started pestering him to train for the Games, just incase he was pulled for the reaping. He told Damien of how desperately they needed the money and how badly they were in need of food, that there was really nothing he could do. By the time Damien was 10, he was in good, physical shape and was the top of his school class. Damien had started working when he was thirteen; as most boys did in district four. When Damien was 14 is when he started to become scared from working accidents.

Damien started to flirt with lots of local girls, although he mainly dumped them shortly after he was done (or could not find amusement) with them. The one girl he really did like was never into him. He always stared at her in class but could never find the courage to say anything to her. Then shortly before winter he asked her to dinner at his house, but she laughed in his face and said no. That was when Damien felt at a loss, and began to trust no one and turn his back on others.
