MY name is Danielle Thorne, my friends call me Dani. I resemble my father far too much if you ask me. Everything from his brown hair, to his green eyes, to his unique bone structure, I have also claimed for my own features. By unique bone structure, I mean my chin, mostly. It's squared shape makes me look....more sophisticated, intelligent.

Continuing to resemble Dad, I am tall and built like an athlete. Although I do take part in a lot of physically strenuous activities, it isn't hard for me to keep my skinny form. It isn't that being over weight is a bad thing, it just makes everything harder. Not just physically, but emotionally as well.

It seems the only things my mother's genes have succeeded in over coming my father's are my long neck, and my natural posture. I tend to stand with my shoulders back when I am standing, and I keep my back erect while sitting, like I am oh so important to this world when I know that I am just like everybody else, nothing but a stupid game piece.

I dress to impress. That is what mom says at least. She only means that I don't usually parade around wearing almost nothing but a smile. The only time you will see me with out a pair of shorts or a skirt, and a shirt, is when I am swimming. I don't mean the shorts that people like my cousin Baylee wears, the ones that resemble under wear more than bottoms, I mean the ones that come just above my knee. Sure they are form fitting, but at least they aren't revealing.

I'm not to horribly different from the average girl from District 4. (Apart from my refusal to show everyone around me things that only a husband, or...future husband should see.) I love water. I love being around water more than being in it though. Laying in the sand listening to the waves crash onto the sandy shore is the most calming thing ever to me.

Surprisingly, I am allergic to most fish! Not deathly, but I get a disgusting rash when I eat anything other than shrimp. To be honest, I'd rather miss out on eating something that smells horrid and rotten than get a rash.

I like to have a good time, but I don't ever get out of control. EVER. I have seen what happens to the people who let partying control their lives. It sickens me. Not just that they were stupid enough to let it happen, but that nobody did anything to stop it. That nobody did anything to help them, like
I am trying my hardest to do with Bay right now.

Boys? Yea, I have had boyfriends, and yes, when I thought they loved me, I ended up getting hurt. None of them hurt me as badly as my last boyfriend though. We had been together for a while. At least a year and a half. We did everything together as a team. Others came to us for advice when they needed it. I loved him. With everything in me, I loved him. Then one day, well, night, rather, he was pressuring me to do something personal we had already done before, but I was sick, and wasn't up for it. Figured, the first time I wouldn't let him he leaves me....

I was born on the crappiest date ever! February is one of the only months it is cold in District 4!I wasn't what you would call "spoiled" because I wasn't a brat about it, but my parents did always have money to spare. Money they could spend on extra stuff for me.Well, it WAS just me until my little sister, (and closest friend) Cynthia was born. I was never jealous of her like most older siblings are when a younger one is born. Actually, I encouraged my parents to play with Cici and I. Together. As a family.

There are a ton of memories I have made over the years with Cynthia. One of my favorites being the first time we went sailing without our parents. It isn't that it was fun, because it was actually, in short, pure hell. We forgot all the food we were bringing, so we had to starve all day, and on top of that, it rained that evening! It took us hours to get to shore! The reason it is my favorite is because, looking back on it now, Cici and I really had to work together to get out of that horrible situation.

There have been a lot of things go wrong in my life, but not the one I had at home. Everything has always been perfect. My parents' relationship has stayed strong, my sister and I don't fight, my parents are able to work and still be able to spend time with us. The only thing close to an unhappiness at home would be when Baylee came to live with us.

Apart from Cynthia, Baylee is my best friend. We have always been close, regardless of our different outlooks on life. I wouldn't say that her coming to our house was considered an "unhappiness" it was just the reason she had to. I won't lie, it stung a little that she never told me, but after I have thought about it, I would be embarrassed if my father was forcing me into prostitution too!

That is probably the main reason I haven't given up on her. I know that she is only acting this way because of her recent past. I know I can get the old Baylee back some way, some how.
