DALENA CRISANTO



Her life has been spent in a few places, District two for a time and even the Capitol for a couple weeks, but she always returns to her home District of three. Even after twenty-nine years, she hasn't tired of the District making her cheerful in that as a Peacekeeper she had been assigned there.

IF I COULD KEEP YOU CLOSE

With her slender form and glossy brown hair, it would be hard to find someone who doesn't admit Dalena is pretty. Her eyes are dark brown, often holding a glint of some kind, be it the hard flash of anger or the teasing sparkle of humor. Her hair is a lighter brown than her eyes, though not by much. The natural blonde highlights in it cause it to have more of a shimmer, as well as more depth than plain brown hair. Her face is thin, but not sharp, with medium eyebrows that arch over her eyes. They are between the colour of her eyes and her hair, just dark enough to be definitive against the bangs that part to the left side of her face. Her nose is slightly too big for her face, but it is not noticeable in the bigger picture. Her mouth is the right size, with a thinner upper lip and slightly fuller lower.

Her neck is long, but elegantly and not overly so. It attaches to narrow shoulders, from which hang long, semi-muscled arms with long-fingered hands at their ends. She is not as highly developed as other women her age, but it gives her a slimmer, more graceful appearance. Her middle is narrow and only widens slightly at her hips. Leg legs are long and as muscled as her arms.

She is often seen wearing a tank top of short sleeved t-shirt of light material. Sometimes she wears a vest over top, or a leather jacket if it gets colder. On her left wrist she constantly wears a watch, it rarely leaves her wrist and has the engraving "I love you Baby Girl" on the bottom of it. It was a gift from her father and one of her most prized possessions. To cover her lower half, she usually wears either shorts or dark pants, often done up by a dark leather belt.

I WOULD SAVE YOU FROM SUFFERING

Dalena is a complicated person, and she isn't the type to openly admit anything about herself. You would be hard-pressed to learn anything, like how she can have commitment issues with her relationships. It starts off great, she can be the best girlfriend on the first date, but something drops off in the second and on comes boredom, impatience, and irritability. She never tries for this, but it always happens, she just needs that one person to settle her, but at the rate she going that wont happen. Between her job as a peacekeeper and her poor relationship skills, she can never catch a break. Perhaps her partner is the key to this, but she could never, would never, let that happen. She just can't, it wouldn't be right. Though how many times she had hoped one of them would slip up... But no, it could never happen.

In the instances when deception is needed in her job, she has a bit of a problem. While she is able to speak three languages; English, Portuguese and Spanish as well as being an accomplished lipreader, she has a hard time faking her identity. However, under stressful situations, or when she is in danger, it is almost as if another person takes over. This other person has a clearer head and knows how to manipulate people. Truthfully, she has the same ability at any time, but something in her keeps her from doing so unless there is a life at stake. She is also known to be a thrill-seeker, but she would never gamble with anyone's life but her own.

When dealing with people, she is quite quiet about herself and her thoughts and feelings. This is probably because her mind is full of many different emotions that she doesn't fully understand herself. At one time, her partner went missing, and after she had gone to his house for clues, she had washed his dirty dishes for no distinct reason. She looks at situations differently than most people, an outside take that many would find rough and odd. If Dalena was asked if the glass was half full or half empty, she would just drink out of the bottle.

NOT FOR THE GLORY BUT FOR THE PAIN

Dalena is an only child, the daughter of a deceased Special Forces Peace Keeper, Andrew Crisanto. She and her father had had a strong bond and when she was younger, she helped him tune his car during the weekends. Her father had taught her how to survive pretty much anywhere as well as how to track, shoot, fix an engine, wire a house, and basically anything you would teach a son. He had expected her to follow in his footsteps and wanted her to be prepared for the taxing work. Tragically, her father was killed when she was fifteen, having been in a severe train accident on his way back from a mission. The case was passed off as an accident, though some minor evidence shows otherwise. Now, Dalena is determined to find out how and why he died. Her mother had attempted to take her away from her father, lying to her about the reason why they were leaving. The lie made the already tense relationship between them worse and caused Dalena to return to her father on her own. Because of this, she and her mother had not spoken with each other in fifteen years.

For the next five years, she trained to be a peacekeeper in an attempt to avenge her father as well as fulfill his wish for her to become a Special Forces Peacekeeper like he had been. As she gained more experience and became a better peacekeeper, she became more and more interested in her father's death. Eventually, she took out the case file and read about the incident. Ever since, she had strengthened her search for answers to the questions the case file had brought up. She joined a special section of peacekeepers, a force called PCIS or Peacekeeper Criminal Investigative Service, in an attempt to use the branch to help her in her search. So far, she has not been able to solve her father's murder, though she is drawing closer.

A few months previous, she had found a box among some of her things. When she opened it, she discovered one of her father's medals and a note. The note had read "Keep an eye on this, Baby Girl, I'll be back for it some day. Love Dad." Any hope she had lost in finding the truth of her father's death had vanished as she had opened the box. Despite building close bonds to her co-workers, Dalena had kept her findings, and search, secret, not wanting to involve them in something so personal.
