Eva, when she is standing still, reaches the petite height of 5 feet exactly. Her boundless energy, however, which causes her to practically bounce in place, may add an inch or two. Eva's bright blue eyes are almost always shinning with mischief and childlike life. Straight, chocolate brown hair falls down her back, reaching about to the middle of her back since she absolutely hates getting it cut.

Freckles are splattered over almost ever inch of her face because of how much sun Eva soaks up daily. Along with her many freckles, Eva has a scar running from the tip of her forehead, down the side of her face and ending at her jaw. Finally, although Eva's mouth may open in a smile or to take a bite out of a ripe apple, her mouth is otherwise sealed shut. Since a terrible accident when Eva was young, she has chosen to be mute, never saying a word. Not even to her three brothers. Eva's pale pink lips can be easily coaxed into a smile, but getting Eva to say a word is nearly impossible.

Eva in one word is energy. She loves to rough house with her older brothers, the triplets, and she is always up for a new adventure. With such energy and a knack for getting into mischief, Eva is almost always in trouble with a teacher or receiving a disapproving look from a passing by adult. Eva is on the small side because of being so short and thin, but she has learned to hold her own against her triplet brothers. This is because Eva is quick and can outmaneuver almost anyone.

To Eva, family is the most important thing. If she feels someone is threatening any of her brothers, she will put that person in place. With creative punishments, piercing eyes, and a powerful kick, Eva can be a bit intimidating when she wants to be. Eva loves to pull pranks on her older brothers and is used to constantly being on her toes, looking out for possible booby traps.

Around strangers, Eva is shy and cautious, but once she is has known someone for a while, she will come out of her shell. Eva, however, is careful about who she considers part of her inner circle. Being mute has brought many bullies and Eva must be constantly on guard for such cruel children. Although her brothers would step in at a moments notice, Eva prefers to handle things herself. Eva uses hand signs with her brothers and sticks with simple 'yes', 'no', ' I don't know', answers for others.

Eva has a terrible habit of holding grudges. Once someone makes a bad impression on her, it's nearly impossible to make up for it. She uses creative pranks, terrifying glares, and quick kicks to express her distaste for someone easily. This habit of holding grudges has made the difficult job of finding friends when you are almost completely mute, even more difficult.

Finally, Eva absolutely loves the outdoors. When she is not cooped up at school or helping her brothers around their small house, Eva is outside exploring secluded areas inside the district perimeters. Few know about these hidden crevices of wilderness lying inside the district fence. When Eva has nightmares or just wants some time to explore, let energy loose, or forget worries, she treks out to some of her favorite areas outside.

Eva is currently living with her three older brothers: Wren, Travis, and Brody. The boys are all nineteen and are triplets. Eva has lived in their care for about a year. A little over a year ago, Eva and her mother were asked to bring food to the mines where her father worked. Eva and her mother were chosen since Eva's mother helped part time in the bakery and Eva was almost around, smelling the fresh bread and gazing at the beautiful cakes her family could never afford.

When Eva and her mother reached the mines, they heard a strange sound. Suddenly, the ground beneath them where tunnels of mines were exploded. Debris fell everywhere and Eva was knocked out by a large rock which cut her face, leaving a scar across it. When Eva woke up, she learned that both her mother who had been completely pelted by the debris and her father who had been suffocated in the tunnels, were dead. Since that day, Eva has not spoken more than a word or two and these rare occasions were when it was absolutely necessary.

With three over protective brothers, Eva has let the shell that developed after the incident slowly dissolve. She is still more wary than before and of course much more silent. To relieve her built up emotions, Eva turns to carving out knives out of the rocks she finds in the secluded areas of the district. This ability was one of the last things her father taught her and Eva is determined to remember how to make the small weapon. After all, in a district where there are no volunteers, if Eva is chosen for the Hunger Games, she must be able to have a weapon if she wants a hope of surviving.
