Azurite's family is, like most of the people living in District 1, rich. She has an older brother named Ajoite Morgans. He's 22 years old and his name was never picked during the reaping. Her parents are successful jewel traders and negotiators. She has friends, not many but enough to be called a "posse". She has trained ever since she could walk and is skilled in throwing knives and stuff. She has a pretty good aim but can throw no more than 20 feet ahead. She is also good in hand-to-hand combats.

She and her brother get along pretty well, they help each other and whenever one's in trouble the other would always try to help. But life is never always a bed of roses for her. Her favorite grandmother passed away, her parents occasionally fight over something and they blame each other for making a bad 'investment' on who-knows-what, her brother has to be away sometimes to study more on gems, jewels, and on other luxury items. As a product, she often lets all her rage out during training, and it helps her a lot.

She has a best friend named Sphene Henderspear. They've been together since day one in training and they've always been ever since. Sphene is the only child of a very rich man in District 1. Unlike Azurite, Sphene is a very open person that loves to chat and smiles often. Her mother, a close friend of Azurite's parents, died giving birth to her. Azurite is the only person that she considers her true friend despite her sunny disposition.

Azurite has never liked the Capitol, much less when she found out that other districts were starving to death and they (the Capitol) didn't do a single thing to help, all thanks to the news report she accidentally heard from the gossip mongers that eavesdropped on the mayor's conversations over the phone. She'd always thought that other districts would receive the same treatment that they've been getting from the Capitol, regardless of what they provide the Capitol with. She did a little research on 'The Games' and she found out that the reason for it is to show the districts that the Capitol should not be defied. That wasn't fair, and she knew it, even though she was just 15 years old when she came to know all of these things. She had never looked at the Capitol in the same way again. Before, she just despised them on how they look and how they alienate themselves through constant surgeries and wildly bizarre make-ups, how they try to throw up the food they eat only to eat again and gorge once more, now, she despises them because of how they treat the other districts, how unfair the are to people, and how cruel they must be. She despises the Capitol now because 'The Games' is an unjust game to play and if she'd be given the chance she'll fight and she'll show the Capitol, every single day in the arena, that when other districts unite, there's nothing they can do about it.
